The Temple of Artemis at Ephesus, also known as the Artemision , was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. It was a grand temple dedicated to the Greek goddess Artemis, the goddess of the hunt, fertility, and childbirth. The temple was located in the ancient city of Ephesus , which is now modern-day Turkey . The construction of the temple began in the 6th century BC , during the reign of King Croesus of Lydia. It was designed by the Greek architect Chersiphron and his son Metagenes . The temple was built on a marshy plain near the river Cayster, and it was raised on a platform to prevent flooding. The temple was made of marble and was adorned with sculptures and decorations. The temple was destroyed and rebuilt several times throughout history. Yellowstone is an American neo-Western drama television series that premiered on June 20, 2018, on Paramount Network. Created by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson, the series follows the conflicts along the shared borders of the Yellowstone Ranch, a large cattle ranch, the Broken Rock Indian reservation, Yellowstone National Park, and land developers. The show features an ensemble cast that includes Kevin Costner, Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, Cole Hauser, Kelsey Asbille, Gil Birmingham, Brecken Merrill, Jefferson White, Danny Huston, and more.


The series has been executive produced by John Linson, Art Linson, Taylor Sheridan, Kevin Costner, and David C. Glasser, with John Vohlers and Michael Polaire serving as producers. Ben Richardson has been the cinematographer for the series, while Gary D. Roach and Evan Ahlgren have worked as editors. The show has been filmed using a single-camera setup, with running times ranging from 37 to 92 minutes.

Yellowstone has been produced by Linson Entertainment, Bosque Ranch Productions, Treehouse Films, and 101 Studios (season 2–present). MTV Entertainment Studios also joined as a production company from season 4 onwards. The show has aired on Paramount Network and has spanned five seasons, with a total of 47 episodes.


In May 2023, it was announced that the fifth season would be the show's last and would be followed by an untitled sequel series. The first part of the fifth and final season premiered on November 13, 2022, with the second part set to premiere in late 2023.

Yellowstone has also spawned several related projects. 1883 is a prequel series that explores the Dutton family's journey during the Old West as they settle the land that would become the Yellowstone Ranch. 1923 is another prequel series that focuses on an intervening generation of the Dutton family during the time of Western Expansion, Prohibition, and the Great Depression. Bass Reeves is a planned spin-off that will focus on the life of the titular character, while 6666 is set in the present day on the Four Sixes Ranch in Texas. Paramount also confirmed the development of a fifth spin-off, titled 1944, in early 2023.
