Temple of Artemis - Artemision

The Temple of Artemis at Ephesus, also known as the Artemision , was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. It was a grand temple dedicated to the Greek goddess Artemis, the goddess of the hunt, fertility, and childbirth. The temple was located in the ancient city of Ephesus , which is now modern-day Turkey . The construction of the temple began in the 6th century BC , during the reign of King Croesus of Lydia. It was designed by the Greek architect Chersiphron and his son Metagenes . The temple was built on a marshy plain near the river Cayster, and it was raised on a platform to prevent flooding. The temple was made of marble and was adorned with sculptures and decorations. The temple was destroyed and rebuilt several times throughout history. The first temple was destroyed by a flood in 550 BC , and it was rebuilt by Croesus . The second temple was destroyed by arson in 356 BC , and it was rebuilt by Alexander the Great. The third te...

Valeri Nichushkin out indefinitely

The Colorado Avalanche will be without the services of Valeri Nichushkin in Game 5 against the Seattle Kraken on Wednesday, April 25, 2023. Nichushkin is out indefinitely due to personal reasons, according to Ryan Boulding of NHL.com. This will mark the third consecutive game that Nichushkin will be absent from the Avalanche lineup.

It is currently unclear when Nichushkin will be available to return to the team. The 28-year-old Russian forward has been an important piece for the Avalanche this season, contributing with one goal, six shots on net, and three hits in just two appearances during the current postseason.

During Nichushkin's absence, Matt Nieto has been filling in on the second line for the Avalanche. While Nieto has been a productive player for Colorado this season, with six goals and ten assists in 64 games, he does not have the same size and physical presence as Nichushkin, who stands at 6'4" and 210 pounds.

The absence of Nichushkin is certainly a blow to the Avalanche, who are looking to advance to the next round of the playoffs. Colorado finished the regular season with the second-best record in the league, and they have high expectations for their playoff run. Nichushkin's absence will put pressure on other players to step up and fill the void left by the talented forward.

The reasons for Nichushkin's absence have not been disclosed, and it is important to respect his privacy during this time. It is not uncommon for players to miss games due to personal reasons, and the Avalanche will undoubtedly support Nichushkin as he deals with whatever issue he is facing.

In conclusion, Valeri Nichushkin's absence from Game 5 against the Seattle Kraken on Wednesday, April 25, 2023, is a significant loss for the Colorado Avalanche. While the team will have to rely on other players to step up, there is no doubt that they will miss the size, physicality, and offensive production that Nichushkin brings to the lineup. We wish Nichushkin all the best as he deals with his personal situation, and we look forward to seeing him back on the ice soon.
